Aliana Lands Nation’s First Reimagined Target Store, Scheduled to Open in October

FORT BEND, TX (March 23, 2017) – The Fort Bend master-planned community of Aliana will soon be home to the nation’s first fully reimagined Target store, a next generation of store design befitting one of the Houston area’s top-selling communities of new homes.

Scheduled to open this fall, the 124,000-square-foot modernized store will feature glazed, large glass windows at the front, stenciled concrete floors and unique lighting throughout. Additionally, the new design offers two entrances, each with a specific shopper in mind.

Guests can enter through one entrance to find displays of exclusive brands and inspiring seasonal moments, and the other for easy pick-up of online orders and groceries, a Wine & Beer shop, self-checkout lanes and a dedicated Order Pickup counter.  Outside this entrance, guests will find dedicated parking spaces where team members will bring out online orders.  An enhanced grocery department will feature woodgrain fixtures, a robust assortment of fresh produce as well as quick grab-and-go options and meal solutions.

Upon its anticipated opening in October, the reimagined Target store will join the new H-E-B Aliana Market as two signature, on-site shopping conveniences for residents of the award-winning Fort Bend master-planned community.

“When the all-new Target opens this fall, Aliana residents will enjoy two, sparkling new shopping experiences right outside their front door,” says Linda Kilgore, marketing director of Aliana Development Company, developer of the fast-growing, 2,000-acre west Houston community near Sugar Land.

In 2016, Aliana ranked #19 among the nation’s top-selling master-planned communities last year, according to RCLCO, an independent real estate advisory firm.  The community also ranked third on the list of Houston’s most active real estate developments in 2016 based on new home starts, as reported by MetroStudy, later published in the Houston Business Journal.

JLL’s Simmi Jaggi and Elizabeth Clampitt represented Aliana in the transaction.  Those interested in commercial land opportunities in Aliana can contact Simmi Jaggi or Elizabeth Clampitt at JLL.
