FBISD’s Madden Elementary Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Students in Aliana

The doors opened and 760 enrolled students walked down a red carpet into the new FBISD Carolyn and Vernon Madden Elementary School located in Aliana.

“This community has embraced Madden Elementary and has been looking forward to our opening for seven years,” said Principal Pamela Brown. “We are so excited to be here welcoming our Huskies for the first year in their new building. Our students are attending one of the newest schools with the most advanced features and the best teaching, nursing and administrative teams. We also have a very active PTO and Watchdog Dad troop that demonstrates to our students that their families are involved in their education.”

The Aliana sales team toured the school prior to its opening for a personal look at its many teaching and safety features including more than 50 security cameras, electronic tablets and notebooks in every classroom, large wall-mounted monitors throughout the school and interactive white boards in every classroom.

“Madden Elementary is part of the vision of Aliana in building with an eye on the future, and creating a community that nurtures students and inspires them in acclaimed Fort Bend schools,” said Linda Kilgore of Aliana Development Company. “We are so excited for this first school year!”

Madden Principal Pamela Brown, former principal of Rita Drabek Elementary (RDE), has more than 25 years’ experience as a classroom teacher and a reading and curriculum specialist. She holds several honors for outstanding teaching and school leadership.

Carolyn and Vernon Madden Elementary is located at 17727 Abermore Lane in Aliana.
