Water Conservation for a Greener Future
Aliana™ is dedicated to the conservation of nature's precious resources. The water conservation design of this "extraordinary place" will feature beautifully landscaped banks along winding rivulets that run through the entire community. Rain water will be captured in the rivulets and retained in the many lakes and ponds, allowing the slow release of any excess water, minimizing erosion downstream. This intricate system will preserve and expand the original natural wetland shelf from 12 acres to over 35 acres. These wetland shelf plantings will improve water quality and protect the lake edges. Residents will enjoy strolling and biking along miles of trails as they listen to the tranquil sound of water flowing through the rolling greenbelts. These beautifully landscaped areas will feature native flora for lower water consumption.
Aliana™ also has installed a state-of-the-art water treatment plant, allowing it to discharge some of the highest quality filtered water among comparable water treatment systems in the state. In the future, Aliana™ will consider options to recapture and recycle these waters for on-site landscaping purposes.
